OutSource success linked to entrepreneurial philosophy

More than 20 years ago, OutSource began as a small industrial work division of Rochester Rehabilitation Center, providing employment, training and work to a variety of people. Throughout the years, Rochester Rehabilitation Center has looked at ways to enhance revenue at OutSource while helping people with disabilities and other disadvantages get and keep jobs.  Borrowing from entrepreneurial philosophy has helped this multi-million dollar group redefine its business in three distinct areas: packaging, janitorial and document imaging solutions; launch a customer-focused website at www.theoutsource.org and consolidate some of its operations at 1357 University Avenue.

“Our new brand and service lines,” said Mike Szpak, Director of Operations, “are designed to reflect OutSource’s commitment to meet the needs of our growing customer base. The website allows us to expand into new markets and ensures that we make it easier, faster and more cost-efficient for our customers to do business.”

Viewing OutSource in an entrepreneurial manner, has helped earn new business, win bids and receive quality awards. To that end, OutSource is dedicated to meeting or exceeding customer requirements with an eye on continuous improvement of people, processes and products.  OutSource is a preferred vendor to state and local governments and Kodak. Recently, Lockheed Martin recognized OutSource as a superior, quality supplier.
